  • WAR DANCER by WAR FRONT to Stand at Rockridge Stud

    The first son of War Front to make his way to New York is Diamond M Stable’s War Dancer ($5,000, Rockridge Stud). The 6-year-old won his third black-type stakes Sept. 10 in the $200,000 PTHA President's Cup Stakes at Parx Racing. In 2013 War Dancer won the Virginia Derby (gr. IIT) and in 2014 took the Louisville Handicap (gr. IIIT). He retires with six wins and 10 placings out of 30 starts and earnings of $1,068,925.

    “He’s got a great body—good shoulder, good hip,” said Erin Robinson, stallion director for Rockridge. “Even though he ran on turf he doesn’t look turf-y; he’s got a lot of scope.” War Dancer is out of the grade II-placed winner Deed I Do. Four-time stakes winner
